MTR Posted July 16, 2007 Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 We've been browsing this website for quite some time now and feel quilty that we haven't even introduced ourselves.It is unbelieveable to see how helpful everyone is and I can tell you it is really appreciated.We were under the impression that financial planners are not in demand in Oz and have been contemplating and looking for opportunities to move to Australia. To our surprise an Australian company came over to SA looking for financial planners and what do you know, we might just have an opportunity to make the move. As you can see hubby is in the financial industry. We've got two kids (one 3years and one 5months). Wer'e planning on doing our LSD trip in the next month or two where hubby will go for interviews.We're busy planning our dates; flights; accommodation; etc. and obviously any suggestions/advice are welcome.Cheers for now! Just by reeding all the current postings. it's clear that there is no short supply in information.MannyT- I was told that the company I am using to get me employed to use www.ps146.com.au apparently they negotiated on lower rates. Have you heard from them before and do you think I should use them? Are you in the financial industry ?My wife and I are planning a LSD trip in the next two months. I need to notify the company that's arranging my interviews where I would like to live. At the moment my wife and I are stuck on Adelaide but I've recently had discussion with a freind who spend some time in Australia and according to him Perth is the financial hub of Australia. MTR Hi MTR,I have no facts on which to base what I am saying, but I would have thought the financial hub of Aus is rather Melbourne or Sydney. Populations of approx 4 million and 3.5 million respectively.Next biggest is Brisbane then Perth.Adelaide is the smallest of the capital cities approx 1.1 million. We own/run a recruitment company in Adelaide specialising in the mature age candidates.My daughter in-law manages a branch for a medium sized recruitment company in Sydney.Huge demand for Para planners and Financial advises with the necessary accreditation to coduct business in Australia in all the capital cities.Assuming that you are qualified Financial Advisors or Para Planers your only problem would be the PS146 accreditation.regardsManny Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
