TeeTMI
For any of you on one of these visas and impacted by COVID this may prove very useful if aiming for PR. Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Flexibility The Government have announced that they will extend, by 3 years, Skilled Regional Provisional (subclass 489, 491 and 494) visas where the visa holder was impacted by COVID-19 international travel restrictions. Expected to assist around 10,000 skilled regional workers. This is aimed at providing sufficient additional time for all current and former Skilled Regional Provisional visa holders to make travel arrangements to start or resume living and working in regional Australia. This is especially important for the subclass 491 and 494 in being able to meet the criteria to subsequently aim to meet the eligibility requirements for the pathway to a permanent resident visa. NB: full details/legislation not yet available at this time.
