Military Discharge Papers

Hi everyone,

 

So we feel like a spanner has been thrown in the works but like I like to remind myself, we can't be the first ones to experience this! 

My husband did his mandatory one year service in the South African defence force. We have lodged our EOI and we've just started filling in our Form 80 forms for our 189 visa. We've since been told

 

"noticed that you served in the SA military, for the time that you were in the military we need to submit evidence of military service, such as your discharge papers listing service time periods, rank, force number and weapon training including specialised weapon training if applicable."

 

Can anyone that's been through this offer any advice on how to obtain this document?

Hi Natasha, 

 

We requested it and it took almost 2 months but can send you the email address we finally got after 100 attempts of phone calls and email, even going to the military base.
