Region and Regional Town

Vusa

Question

Good day to you all,

I recently got a state nomination in Queensland for a 489 visa.  I am writing my Commitment Statement - I would like to know if Toowoomba is a Region or a Regional Town.  I would also be grateful if some one can tell me the difference between a region and a regional town.  Any examples of regional towns in Toowoomba?

Thank you

Yes Toowoomba is considered regional, I have friends there that were on a 489 Regional Queensland visa. A very popular town and only about 100km from Brisbane

Toowoba is a regional town. It’s a lovely place and quite a bit cooler than the Durban type weather of Brisbane. It’s known for its annual flower show amongst other things. Good schools and big enough for everything you need.

An RSA example would be like Howick is a regional town in the Midlands region.

Toowoomba is actually very much like Pietermaritzburg in so many ways including distance from the big city ;)

For anyone reading this post in future.
