Medical doctor documentation

Franman

Question

Hi guys

I'm a medical doctor in SA and would like to know how to prepare my paper work if I would like to register on the AMC or AMB? Does anything need to be certified and stamped? Or do I just use and submit the original certificates as it is?

I presume AMC and AMB refers to OZ medical councils? If so I would imagine they can advise whether you need to submit originals. However I doubt it - certified copies are likely to be enough for all visa documents EXCEPT for PCC which have to be originals.

Are you a GP or specialist?

Hi, we had to get my certificates notarized by a Notary. It wasn't cheap but they don't accept originals or certified copies. If you go through an agency, they will let you know what to do.....

@ SML, thank you.  I am trying to figure out if there is specific format requirements from AMC with regards to the notarizing of my certificates.  We are not working through a agency.  We have been granted a 189 visa and are planning to leave for Perth soon.

@ Wessmuts, I am a GP working in ER.

Have you got a job lined up? If not, a recruitment agency will help with what is needed. Having a 189 does complicate things re DWS. A colleague of mine had to move jobs as the DWS area changed and Medicare wouldn't let her reapply for her Provider number.

I will send you a PM
