Australian TRA skills assessment

Hi guys

 

So the company that is recruiting me needs me to do a TRA skills assessment before my visa will be approved. They are going to pay for the test so thats not a problem. I am just wondering if anybody knows any reputable company in JHB that provides this test for a metal machinist. I googled but I am not sure how legitimate some of the companies are. I went to VETASSESS but they only have tests down in cape town at the moment. 

 

If anybody can guide me in the right direction it would help a ton.

As far as I know you work directly with TRA in Australia. We initially had to use them, but then they sub contracted Victoria University to do it. TRA sent our application back and advised who to use.

Im fascinated to know if anybody has gone through this process before. I don't know if it is berrer to go through VETASSESS or if I should rather use one of Australia's RTO's. Also, what are the chances of getting a practical interview compared to a technical interview.
