Dijon
Good day,I would like to find out if there is anyone who currently lives in the Northern Territory (Darwin). I have applied in December for a visa sub 134 as we do not have enough points for the 136. I was told by an agent my job was in need only in the NT. Thus i require some help to find someone living in the territory. The information would help with applying for a Territory sponsorship. Thanks. Bob
dijon, give "exASP" a PM.She lived in Alice Springs . . . the "alice" . . . for a couple of years in the middle of Australia.I reckon the Darwin's a good spot, myself. Lots of young Australians head north and stay with their jobs for a couple of years there and either stay on or head back down south to Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, etc.The Territory either grabs you or it doesn't.Those it grabs, they just stay there for many years and are a different breed of Australians from the rest of us.I guess Namibians with their far flung distances and open spaces would be the closest sort of thing to the Territory and the sort of people that are attracted to that sort of place. Annette
DijonWhy not apply for the SIR (495) visa if you don't have enough points for a 136? You can live in lots of different regional areas on that visa and in South Australia you don't need to have a job in demand and can live right in the middle of Adelaide if you want. Dijon
Thanks Bob - i sent a mail to exAP Thanks - Annette i missed the SIR 495 - it looks like a better deal than Darwin.Question - Would there be a problem if i apply to both States for sponsorship? Should i just make up my mind and apply for one only?Dijon
