The place has certai ly changed! It is now Sunday evening, booked into the Sandton Sun, so my mouth and ears can have a rest! Mara Posted August 15, 2016 Author Report Share Posted August 15, 2016 Well what I have noticed the most is that everything, everywhere, seems dirty! As for the trash that lines the roads, oh dear, not a good sight. We had a bit of a dampener hit us all today. Heard this morning that my only brother had passed away in Austin, Texas. Although we were fairly sure that he was nearing the end, we could still hope, alas, now that is gone. Athough exremely sad for us, we are very relieved that his suffering is now over. On a side note, please be very careful if you drive on the N4 at night near Witbank. People living in the communities outside the Witbank CBD climb over the walls and run across the highway. On more than one occasion, there has been horrific accidents due to this behaviour. Not sure of your plans but if you are in the Pretoria area and you have a spare moment, let us know since it will be nice to meet you. All the best on your travels! We received good offers on the vehicles and decided that since we work fairly close to home, we will just use Uber for the last week or so. But using Uber to JHB starts becoming a bit too expensive! The table has been booked for 10 people under the name Smailo. @Mara (2) @TracyClare (2) @Starbucks (2) @Smailo (2) @Mark Govender (1) Europa is fairly flexible at changing the booking given enough notice, so if anyone else wants to join, please feel free to contact me.
