CLAIM POINTS FOR QUALIFICATION UNRELATED TO NOMINATED OCCUPATION

Lillie

Question

Hi All

We received a positive skills assessment from ACS this morning :)

We are trying to find out if we can claim points for his Bachelors degree that is unrelated to his nominated occupation.  If so, does this need to be assessed by another authority?  The degree was obtained through Unisa.

Can anyone assist us with some information?

Im confused. Wouldnt the positive skills assesment mean you can claim said points on the visa? That includes what you are qualified for?

I hope your husband isn't planning on working two jobs  while he is in Australia. That's a pretty radical way to reduce the so-called skills shortage Australia might face in the future.  :jester:

That joke is referring to:

Lets hope ANZ is correct and there will be more job openings for skilled peeps!
