Just wanted to check what the Aussie equivalent would be in terms of quality? Would like to check some prices online difficult to get an idea of quality online. I was looking at places like ikea.com.au and fantasticfurniture.com.au

@vitchie I have no idea what Coricraft is. but looking at their website, it would appear to be similar to the furniture that I like. So I would suggest you look at the following and see what you think:

http://www.earlysettler.com.au/

My diningroom set, 12 seater table and display cabinets, came from them, solid reclaimed wood. I also have other bits and pieces... they are my first go to place for furniture. I have never bought any of their upholstered chairs or lounges... so cannot give comment on them.

A friend of mine bought new lounge furniture from the following company, it looks good an is very comfortable.

http://www.bayleather.com.au/

As Australia is a big place, these shops are represented in Melbourne, you would have to check for other cities...

Fantastic furniture is probably not what you're looking for, its generally cheaper / entry level stuff (by Aus standards), Super Amart is pretty good, probably something like House & Home back in SA. Coricraft was always a bit too expensive for me back in SA, so I can't comment on an equivalent, but ikea is a good option when you're starting out, it has a wide range to suit different pockets and styles and is pretty good quality, and the stores are an experience unlike anything in SA (in a good way mostly, but can be busy and overwhelming). Where I am in brisbane, they often have a whole centre with a variety of different home furnishings shops all in one place. In my area, here is the one we sometimes go to, forty winks and freedom are quite popular, and we found great deals at BFO. For home appliances and TV's etc, The good guys and JB hifi are great.

My wife occasionally visits the odd decor shop....

It seems my credit card visits these stores more....

From what she has told me the equivalents to her old haunt Coricraft are:

www.earlysettler.com.au

or

http://www.freedom.com.au/

or

www.potterybarn.com.au
