Issuance of 189 Visa

Hello,

I am looking for some information on the issuance of our 189 visa which should be approved very soon. Once this is completed where do we go to get the physical document placed in our passports? Do we need to go to the Australian embassy in our county to have this completed or do this through VFS?

There is no physical document. You just receive a PDF which has a Visa grant number, it is all online and linked to your passport number on their systems.

thanks Vitchie. So when we book our travel to Australia this PDF document serves as proof that with a South African passport we are allowed access to the country?

Yes, that is correct. Just a copy of the grant letter to show airline on SA soil. Once you land down under they check it online.
