Looking around Glenelg

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We are moving to Adelaide in December 2015.

My husband's work is based in Glenelg.

So we are looking for recommendations of nice suburbs near there with a good public primary school for our now Grade 3 son(aged 9).

Please share any ideas or experiences that are relevant.

Many thanks

Hi Soon2BOz,

We moving to Adelaide Hills on 30 Jan. Glenelg is great! its very much reminiscent of Sea Point promenade. I will ask my husband for recommendations as he from Adelaide and send them on to you.

Good luck with the last few weeks!

Hey,

What sort of budget did you have in mind per week?

What sort of property? i.e. apartment or 4 bedroom house?

We stay in Flagstaff Hill, which is only about 10km's from Glenelg. Its quite a leafy suburb at the start of the Hills and close to Westfield Marion (about 5kms) as well as the beach etc.

Quite a number of good public schools... my daughter (5) starts at Flagstaff Primary next year.

PM me if you have any other questions.

Cheers,

Robbie

Thanks for the info, Robbie.

We are looking for an apartment or townhouse initially to rent.

We haven't really thought of budget yet, probably the cheaper the better.

I will check out Flagstaff Hill and the primary schools.
