National Sales Manager

SYSPRO Software is a market leader in ERP Solutions for the First and Second Tier businesses across Australia and overseas. SYSPRO culture has been carefully fostered to encourage teamwork and innovative thinking. Due to a rapid growth SYSPRO is looking for an experienced National Sales Manager to lead a pro-active Sales Team. Our office is located in vibrant North Sydney.

Reporting to the CEO, the successful National Sales Manager will formulate and execute sales strategies to maintain strong growth across the region.


To achieve consistently superior sales results through the performance of every key individual.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge enhancement.

· Ensures that key customer relationships are developed and maintained.

· Assists with/conducts key price and service negotiations, and complaints resolution with customers.

· Responsible for developing Australia Strategic Sales Plan and Sales Operating Plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organisation’s presence throughout Australia.

· Manage the performance and output of the sales team in line with these plans.

· Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, sales newsletters and electronic bulletins.

· Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximising business relationships

· Work with the Marketing (local and global teams) to develop annual marketing plan, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and territory (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort), realistic costs of operating the sales force; and sales promotion programme plans.

· Ensure that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the guidelines of the local legislation and SYSPRO’s Code of Conduct.

· Work with the Human Resource Manager to forecast and complete Sales personnel recruitment, assessment and development.

· Work with the Finance Manager and Human Resource Manager to plan and implement a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual territory sales and commission targets and administer the commission plan.

· In conjunction with pre sales team develop sales presentations and proposals to consistently win new business.

Understanding of the ERP marketplace, its product offerings and technology

· Team leadership and Senior management experience at least 5 years

· Experience in building a successful team

· Min. of 5 years sales experience in complex ERP solutions (SAP, JDE, etc.)

· Knowledge of manufacturing principles

· Knowledge of the software sales lifecycle (SDLC)

· Ability to develop and deliver business strategies in an innovative and dynamic way.

· Proven ability to review activities and actions and demonstrate value add to business

· Demonstrated ability to analyse business needs and convert these into a technology based solution

· Strong ability to identify key priorities, develop timelines and deliver key initiatives on time and within budget.

· High level of initiative and a proactive approach to all areas of the role: take ownership of challenges and work independently to resolve .Self motivated to achieve above set targets.

· Intermediate level (as a minimum) experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Project and Excel

· Understanding of .net technology

· Strong written & verbal skills

· Excellent presentation skills


· Marketing experience

· Account Management experience

· Direct Sales experience

· Knowledge of APAC markets

· Diplomacy and an ability to manage and solve conflicts.

· A keen sense of responsibility
