Hi

i have just come across an ex Durban family that have opened a goumet food outlet serving Durban style Indian food delights including bunnies, roties, samoosas, sweets etc.

The outlet is on Jetty Road, Glenelg next to Haighs Chocolates shop. The owner Zac is a very friendly character and loves a good chat.

Cheers.

Also interested re anything like that in Melbourne.

I have been to our local Indian curry house and whilst it was tasty it was more UK Indian style. Would be very interested in South African Durban style Indian cusine.

I use the Rajah curry spices from RSA here but I think I am going to have to get a few more recipies with spice details from friends.

I tried their stuff last night. Not bad, although a bit light in the meat. I got the lamb bunny and there was only two or three little chunks of curry. Could have done with more sauce too. Moaning aside, I'll go back there for more....... :ilikeit:
