If you are interested and meet the minimum requiremnets, please PM me.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor this position is responsible for the development of machine set up, fault finding, cleaning and equipment reassembly capabilities within Orion to facilitate quick change-over, reduce variances and minimise equipment damage. This includes continuous improvement of the speed and accuracy of set up of packaging equipment, development of core fault finding competencies, and implementation of correct cleaning and handling techniques to minimise equipment damage. The role is key to delivering the weekly production schedule and liaises with Production Supervisors, setters, washroom staff, operators, maintenance and compliance staff. Develop procedures, training and assessments to ensure line setters are fully competent in set up, calibration and adjustment of all packaging equipment. Undertake coaching and assessment of setters to close identified skills gaps Develop procedures, training and assessments for line operators to perform basic setups of production line equipment. Undertake coaching and assessment of operators to close identified skills gaps Develop procedures, training and assessments for wash room operators in the correct dismantling of equipment for cleaning as well as reassembly for use. Undertake coaching and assessment of washroom staff to close identified skills gaps Support setters to ensure setups are completed as per the production plan and lines are running efficiently. Assist in cleaning of equipment if necessary. Develop and maintain equipment set up sheets Prepare PVI reports as required and assist in root cause investigation. Undertake first line maintenance in the event of breakdowns Maintain existing and establish new equipment logs Identify and justify the need for new equipment and modification/improvements to equipment. Inventory control of consumables . Review SOPs relevant to machine set up, operation and cleaning Assist in the user requirements specifications for new equipment, and in commissioning activitiesThe successful candidate must possess the following: Completion of TEE Level schooling or equivalent Relevant mechanical trade qualification (eg fitter) Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in food or pharmaceutical industry Experience in set up, maintenance and trouble shooting of production equipment A good mechanical aptitude Good problem solving and trouble-shooting skills Ability to communicate well and to coach and develop others Attention to detail Ability to make sound decisions under pressure Results orientated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
