Has anyone in Perth been to and/or made us of the facilities at Long Ranges? Would appreciate any feedback.

Not sure why, but I'm planning to learn how to use a firearm. Don't plan to own one - yet. Just want to know how to use a handgun properly.

Early onset of a mid-life crisis, perhaps?? :whome:

OOPS! Sorry, that should have been Lone Ranges, not Long Ranges!! I've got missiles on the brain, I think!! Consequence of watching Under Siege again last night!!!

A lot of Aussies hang out on the same firearms boards that I do, I can ask.

Learning to shoot can be quite rewarding, it is a challenging discipline, great stress reliever, and a lot of fun on top of the fact that it may be a skill that could save your life one day.

Quick search returned this: http://www.lonerangers.com.au/

Thanks, Hagar. Are the firearms boards you visit public, or membership only?

Is the general public allowed to own firearms? If so what are the conditions?

My son was part of the Lever Rifle Shooting Club at the Wanneroo Shooting Complex. Go onto the website and see what they offer. www.pfrc.com.au

Perth Field Rifle Club - SSAA Shooting Range in Perth, Western ...The shooting range and clubhouse is located in the Wanneroo Shooting Complex, about 30-40 minutes drive north of Perth. ...

Hi Ronfire, not sure if this is the one hagar is on about but I quite enjoy this one, some good blokes with a wealth of information. I'm not in Perth yet but joined that forum for info on reloading a rare hunting rifle and have just stuck around :) Would like to get a rifle when i'm over there one day. (hopefully soon!!)
