Adelaide end September

Hello Adelaide formites!!!

Hubby want to fly to Adelaide end of September for a week to look for work/sponsor!!!! We are looking at the mining sector (electrician). Is it worth it to just fly over to look for work, what is our chances of finding work like this?????

We picked Adelaide because I have fallen in love with South Australia or must we rather look at WA? We have some formite friends in Perth.

I suggest, follow your husband, follow your heart. Everybody does things in different ways, no-one can tell you what you should do, that is quite a hefty responsibility (to give to other people) for decisions of that magnitude. Hubby can try www.seek.com for jobs, or you can go end September, do a LSD as well. All yours.

Try line up a few interviews before you go - basically if you see a suitable job advertised apply and tell them that you need sponsorship but will be in Australia during this time and would be able to meet to discuss it further. If there are any specific companies that your husband may want to work for then make sure he arranges appointments with them too before he goes that way you maximise your time and hopefully get to see as many interested parties as possible.

Flights between Australian cities are very regular so if you did decide on Adelaide for your visit but once there were offered an interview in say Perth or Brisbane then no problem (apart from the additional cost) to just get on a flight go to the city and do the interview.
