jo1 Posted March 30, 2010 Report Share Posted March 30, 2010 Key Aspects of the Role:· Participate and manage the design and development of new systems to support new product implementations for the business· Work with Web Designer to ensure online solutions are consistent with Design guidelines.· Write, check, monitor the production and track the signoff of various documents such as: Business Cases; Project Scopes; Technical and Functional Specifications; Solution designs; Test Methodologies, Plans and Cases; Project PlansEnsure a consistent image is presented through web content in consultation with Web Design. Ensure the programs are delivered to Scope and on time Review plans & schedules, risks and issues registers and raise any conflicts or issues to program team Liaise with All developers to ensure all developments are being delivered to required design guidelines. Provide regular updates to the team to ensure manageability of impacts from projects and programs on release schedules, Production schedule and change management activities Participate and guide the business in the analysis of business requirements issues and the derivation of potential IT solutions Review the Business Requirement Specification (‘BRS’) and evaluate impact of the development on existing applications, interfaces and processes Understand the needs and drivers of relevant business stakeholders and establish a sound working relationship with them Ensure all developments are documented and are coded according to defined standards. Ensure bugs are fixed in a timely and expedient manner About U:Knowledge & Experience RequiredMinimum 3 years development experience Minimum 18 months .NET development experience incorporating ASP.NET, C#.NET, ADO.NET, XML, Web Services using XML, JavaScript Strong understanding of Object Oriented development Thorough understanding of SQL with SQL Server, T-SQL and Stored Procedures development experience Ability to accept responsibility, show initiative, be proactive and operate under minimum supervision Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to bridge the gap between the business and IT to provide effective and professional communication at all levels Ability to operate in a complex, matrixed and outsourced environment Software development and maintenance lifecycle understanding Project management experience Ability to deal with inexperienced IT users · Experience developing with VB.NET, SOAP, XSD, XSLT, windows and web controls· SQL Server Database Administration experience including DTS packages and Job scheduling· .NET Interop and S.O.A development experience Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
