Bosch x 2
Hi, we will be moving to Perth in May and I was wondering if there are any Golfers in Perth? I've been really worried regarding finding a golfing partner. Also, which country clubs are nice and what are their fees?RegardsAC
Oryx
I am not in Perth yet but do have golf clubs. Play once or twice a year. And today I did a search on Google for Perth Golf Clubs. The search produced a link to an excellent Google Earth Map with lots of Clubs marked on it. And if you hover your mouse over the club, you get website and other detail. So I checked out Joondalup Golf Resort and got a moerse skrik when I saw the pricing. They have a special of $50 for 9 holes. And then I checked out one a little closer to Perth. Marangaroo. There you can play 18 holes for $20 to $23Hi, we will be moving to Perth in May and I was wondering if there are any Golfers in Perth? I've been really worried regarding finding a golfing partner. zetman
Hi AC,I'm not a serious golfer but I can help about the question regarding courses and clubs. Have a look at http://www.iseekgolf.com/courses/australia...stern-australia for a list of golf courses in Perth.Something to note in Aus that is slightly different to SA is that you get both private (such as the Vines in the Swan Valley) and public (such as Marrangaroo)courses. The private ones are clubs and work the same as those in SA. The public ones are run by the local councils, are usually cheaper to play and more relaxed on the dress code - but still good to play I've been told.Hope that helps.z
bouts
Hi, You can also go to www.dcgolf.com.au.I am playing regulary at Marangaroo and Caramar (Public Courses). Greens are good quality and fairways great. Even get to share the course with some Kangaroos. The above courses are not in the same class as Jonndalup Resourt course , Played there once and it is a fantastic course, but you need a lot of spare balls :-), since you do not find it when you are in the rough.cheersJan
DeniseF
my 2c, if you're going to be in the Joondalup area, check out the Yanchep rates as well, I believe they're pretty cheap.Denise

Gizmo
I am not a golfer, but one of my contracts is on one of the golf-courses: Burswood. It is beautiful - overlooks the Swan River - just a few minutes from the city.Anyhow - during the week, 9 holes costs $18 and 18 holes costs $26.Weekends and public holidays - 9 holes costs $25 and 18 holes costs $35.In the scale of what things cost in Aus, I don't think this is expensive at all. Mauritzvw
Between work and finding playing partners I seldom get to play.If I may put an idea forwardIf someone could take the lead on this it could be good for allIn SA our social golf friends had a system. The "Leader" suggests a venue to start and emails or posts it on the forum on the Monday, by Wednesday everyone that wants to play has indicated so and the leader books the amount of fourballs needed. On the Saturday at the "19th" a new venue is suggested and a new leader chosen and so the process continues. As more people participate the social group grows exponentially.Just an idea, great to meet new people and make new friends
