HouseInOz
I want to ask what are companies prepared to pay towards relocation costs, nowadays? Please any advice or replies will be appreciated!!
Jordy
There is no norm. What companies are willing pay varies drastically from absolutely nothing to absolutely everything, and some even throw in a relocation bonus/incentive. I think it depends on the size of the company, how bad they need you, as well as the level of the job being offered (salary being offered). If someone earns $150k plus per year it is nothing to cover all visa, shipping, flights, temp accomodation etc But if you earn $45k then they might not cover as much. costs.I also suspect that the country you are coming from and your motive for moving has an impact too. So South Africans are so desperate to get into Aus, that we are almost willing to pay the companies costs if they sponsor us. Whereas Brits come to Aus for different reasons. Some companies must realise this and pay accordingly.
