This position is responsible for undertaking a wide range of truck driving and labouring tasks for the construction and maintenance of the Council’s Parks and City Maintenance assets. In this role you will be required to drive the Water Truck, therefore the successful applicant must possess a HR truck licence. Salary up to $43,551, plus a 9 day f/night.

Parks and City Maintenance are looking for a new crew member to join the Vegetation Maintenance team. This position is responsible for providing specialist care for the regions trees and street scapes in a professional, efficient and confidential manner ensuring the development of good working relationships with all staff and the public. Water Meter Reader

This position is responsible for conducting accurate, timely and systematic water reads inline with the programme and the subsequent, updating and verification of data collected to enable water consumption charges to be levied. Salary of $43,551, plus a 9 day f/night.

From my understanding, you have to have citizenship to apply for any council/government positions - is that true?

For (local government ) Council jobs you dont have to be a citizen..

I am not sure about federal government jobs (I think this applies only to 'security' related jobs in government - e.g. intelligence, army etc)

You dont need to be a citizen for Council (local government) jobs and you dont need to be a citizen for state government jobs. However I think you need to be a citizen for federal government job, if you do it will usually state that you need to be an Australian Citizen to apply for the position. Else they usually just say that you need to have the right to work in Australia and dont specify PR or citizenship.
