The project includes the construction and operation of the desalination plant, the 84 kilometre transfer pipeline to connect to Melbourne's existing water supplies, delivery of power supply for the project and the purchase of renewable energy credits.In the coming months they are expecting to employ over 2000 people.Not sure if they will be sponsoring, but I can't imagine that they'll be able to recruit over 2000 trades people locally for this $3500 million project!
