Deals Direct.com.au have one for $59 (out of stock at the moment):

Babyzonedirect has one for $78:

Keep in mind these are internet dealers so it will probably be cheaper but you wont have it immediately.

just check that they include the mattrass

one thing is sure their mail/delivery/couriers are excellent and in a different class than SA (I have ordered on the internt in Aus and got things in 3 days, and a week from the US).

I found the camping cot and the baby seat to be the 2 most useful things here.

The price also depends on what type of campcot your after. I have a chicco which is a sturdy make and it was about $280 and that was on sale. You can get much cheaper but they are not sturdy and 'rock'. Thy are known as porta cots here. I have provided you with some links.

Also very important is that if your car seat does not have the Australia approved sticker on it here it is not legal. They use an anchoring system here, so your cars seat cannot just be installed with a seatbelt, it has to have the anchor system aswell. This is an additional strap that is anchored to existing points on the car. The strap comes supplied with most cars seats in Australia.

We hired a bunch of baby things in Adelaide last year – baby bath, monitor, car seat tether strap (yes, just the strap!)

It was a couple/young family that had just started their baby hire business – from memory it was all pretty cheap!

I’ll try to find out where they were/contact details for you.

I think I've found it - can't remember what it was called, but from memory of where we drove to I think it's option *G* on the map below -

What is the reason to hire? If you are coming to stay, why not buy???

I am a huge huge fan of Ikea - their stuff is cheap and the quality is as good as the baby store items.

Their most simple cot (my favourite design actually) - they sell for $119. (Its a wooden cot though - not camping.)
