ndot7980
Hi, my husband and I are both South Africans currently living in the UK. We're fed up with the cold weather and the poms (lived here for 7 years) and now dream of moving to the warmer friendlier climate of Australia. We both work in the railway industry (he is a train driver, and I work in the revenue department dealing with fraudulent travel and customer service), they are both good careers here in the UK, and for obvious reasons we wouldnt want to move back to South Africa to get paid peanuts. Would love any information someone in Australia could give us regarding the railway industry, I hear train drivers get paid quite well in Aus. We havent decided on where to live, I guess where ever we can get work! Would appreciate any info!

Zaffergirl
Welcome to the forum.I think you're going to love it here in Aus, we lived in Ireland (Kildare) near Dublin for a few years, didn't like the cold, although we loved the Irish! Anyway I don't know anything about the Railway Industries, but maybe these sites will be of some help.http://www.ara.net.au/member/full.phphttp://www.railpage.com.au/Wishing you well
Jordy
There are plenty of British in Aus. Sometimes I think there are more British people than Australians in Australia. You could check out www.transperth.com.au
