jo1 Posted May 5, 2009 Report Share Posted May 5, 2009 State Manager - QueenslandHere’s a chance to work in the Sunshine State as a State Manager (FYI – the role is based in Queensland!)About the Gig:The State Manager role involves managing post-paid and prepaid partners in the state, in addition to achieving acquisition targets – all the while maintaining profitable growth for Virgin channels.Key Aspects of the Role:Achieve, or exceed, monthly targets for Postpaid and Prepaid activations Accountability for all channel and always contactable Achievement of the outlined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) Train and educate channels on product ranging, point of sale visibility and product portfolio Develop and implement Account Activity plans, in conjunction the NSM, detailing the tactical plans set for the account, aligned with the tactical activity delivered by Marketing Develop relationships with key external contacts such as Regional Managers and Store Managers, and conduct regular meetings to review sales results, marketing initiatives, and operational issues such as merchandising standards, staffing levels & competencies Develop relationships with key internal contacts in Virgin to ensure efficient support to your territory is provided Maintain timely, effective reporting including sales results, planned store marketing activities and advertising schedules as designated by the NAM. Drive and develop individual business’ profitability Financial management for QLD and associated dealers including commissions, churn and bad debt. Attend the partners training meetings whenever possible, and check in store product knowledge of sales staff. Organise short training sessions if required, and seek the assistance of our VMA Training and POS Manager. Ensure all visual material & displays are effectively used and in a prominent position Liaise with VMA Account Managers, to have up to date information in regards to channel incentives and other activities, and offer feedback from the field. Assist in the implementation of tactical plans, promotional campaigns, and special sales incentives by reinforcing these every time possible. Address affinity partners and dealer issues and concerns in a prompt and timely manner About You:Knowledge & Experience RequiredSolid experience in a sales or account management role. Experience in building successful multi-level relationships within a sales environment. Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline will be an advantage or proven track record in an account management role. Professional SkillsAbility to develop strong relationships at all levels with the Channel partners and in a multi-carrier environment Proven account management and maintenance skills. Demonstrated ability to develop business plans. Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills Personal presentation appropriate to the expectations of the business community. A dedication to customer satisfaction Persistence, reliability and patience. Good self-organisation skills and quality standards. Demonstrated use of initiative, planning, decision making and problem solving skills. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team Knowledge in developing and a demonstrated ability to implement sales plans.
