About the gig:

Your role is responsible for supporting the achievement of Virgin Mobile’s business goals by providing end-to-end solutions for all recruitment needs of the business. The incumbent will be responsible for recruiting all staff from Contact Centre through to Key Management.

The Recruitment Specialist will partner with Managers across the business to ascertain their recruitment needs, offer advice on the best practices to adopt for the recruit, and assist managers with the recruitment process from initial sign-off to orientation of new starters.

Key Aspects of the Role:

· Recruitment of all levels of staff from Customer Service Representatives through to Key Management.

· Understand in depth all departmental functions across the business.

· Conduct assessment centres run externally (as well as potentially in-house) in conjunction with preferred suppliers to handle high-volume recruitment projects.

· Recruit temporary staff as required across the business.

· Write job ads to advertise all job vacancies adhering to Virgin cultural communication and legislative guidelines.

· Handle ‘new starter’ process for all high volume intakes.

· Manage the “Bucks for Buddies†referral program.

· Manage the recruitment inbox ensuring prompt reply to all direct applicants.

· Maintain database on recruitment activity.

· Negotiate packages with prospective employees.

· Conduct a range of recruitment techniques including assessment centres (role plays and group activities), telephone interviews, structured interviews behavioural testing and psychological testing and apply these techniques as appropriate for different roles.

· Have knowledge of and be able to advise on the viability of various online recruitment tools.

· Coach Managers through the recruitment process.

· Work with managers to ensure job descriptions are updated for each new position.

· Liaise with the Learning and Development team to coordinate induction courses inline with the business’ recruitment needs.

· In conjunction with VMA Preferred Supplier Model, liaise with employment agencies to ensure that they have a comprehensive understanding of VMA’s needs and requirements.

· Manage the relationship with Call Centre specific suppliers seeking ongoing process and quality improvement.

· Review recruitment process and procedures and make recommendation for enhancements and improvements with the intention of creating best practice.

· Implement development programs to ensure that managers have the necessary skills to interview and select candidates.

· In conjunction with L&D, manage new employee induction programs to ensure that new hires are effectively inducted into VMA.

About U:

Knowledge & Experience Required

· Degree qualification (HR or Business related) highly desirable

· Min 2 years experience operating in a recruitment role, in a dynamic work environment

· Experience in Telecommunications and a good understanding of departmental functions within a Telco business preferred.

· Experience in recruiting for all levels of business from entry level to Key Management roles

· Experience in running assessment centres and dealing with high volume recruitment

· An understanding of online recruitment tools and the ability to advise on the viability of such systems
