Emille
Dear all,I just want to tell you about what I’ve been through and how God came through again to help me.I posted my permanent residency 857 on Wed 18 March by registered mail. As the original medical exam info and the SA police clearances were in there, there was no way that these could have been lost under any circumstances. But the next Monday (the post office said it will take 3 days), I phoned the post office, and they said ‘they cannot find any scan on that item’ (in other words it has been lost). By the Wed I phoned again, ‘sorry nothing on that item yet- lets resume an investigation as its been too long to reach Sydney’. By the Friday the 27th no progress yet, and I phoned DIAC and they haven’t received it neither. So I started to stress BIG time – what if I have to redo the medicals, what if I need to apply for police clearances from SA again, OH NO!So this whole challenge started to continue trusting in God – I fasted, but I struggled big time because I cannot help thinking about the circumstances (funny how one always forgets how HE helped you in the past). I emailed my pastor:I have one prayer request: would you pse pray with me that my visa application gets to the immigration dept in Sydney safely. I sent it by registered mail but the post office cannot trace it and they have lodged an investigation. there are some very valuable docs in that envelope. I am having a battle with continuing trusting in God nothwitstanding the perceived circumstances which I am sure is a spiritual attackSo he writes back:Wow Emille,One thing we know- God is good and His mercy is everlasting.Sounds like it's time to defy the circumstances and do some praising and declaring that God is able to bring the paperwork to light- as He knows exactly where it is and how to bring it to the right people- or what to do about it.God is so faithful- really.Sounds like you guys are being tested on your loyalty to God like our current Sunday studies.Thank Him that because you are His- then this prob is something that He can take care of. Seems like your faith is being tested. Stand your ground and worship Him-thanking Him that He works it all together- Romans 8:28.So I did the above and decided I will just continue trusting God.This morning first thing, what happens? THERE IS AN EMAIL FROM DIAC SAYING THE VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED! So I wrote again telling my pastor what has happened, and he writes back:God is so good hey?It sure it great to believe that due to His great love and care for us- we need not fret when things go crazy.Good on you Emille- you've just experienced another test of you faith that contributes to the recognition of you being seen as a "Faithful Christian"- or a "Mature Believer" etc- one whose faith has tested, tried and proved stable. If you feel you didn't quite do that well through this trying episode- just be encouraged that you are getting the right idea- at least you know what to do next time- although it will differ somewhat. I've found this verse is great to quote to yourself-James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.I've found Psalms 37:1-11 is very helpful also.HOPE THIS IS OF HELP FOR OTHERS IN THIS PROCESS - God is good continue trusting in Him no matter the circumstancesE

Emille
DO NOT LOOK AT THE WAVES (CIRCUMSTANCES) BUT KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE LORD! ITS WHEN THINGS SEEM IMPOSSIBLE, THATS WHEN HIS POWER REALLY COMES THROUGH AS IT DEMONSTRATES THAT HE CAN HELP US NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES
MANDYBRENT
Hi Emile,I have not been on the forum for about 1 month now - things have not been going very well for us - problems with confirmation of the references - long story but potentially devastating consequences for our application. I have never in my life felt lower than I did today and honestly felt like GOD has abandoned us. Then I read your email and realise it is me who had lost faith in GOD - bad move. I now know, thanks to your email, that GOD will look out for us and everything will be just fine, because he loves us and wants us to be happy as his children here on earth.THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!MANDI
