SAA BBQ in Cairns on Australia Day

Hi there everyone

We are having a BBQ on the Esplanade on Monday 26 January 2009, for Australia day.

We would like to invite you all to join us.

Please invite anyone else who would like come.

Everyone must bring all their own food, drinks and braai equipment.

We are hoping to find a shady spot close the the Lagoon - on the grass area directly across the road from The Night Markets.

It is going to be very crowded on Monday because of the Australia Day Celebrations, and so the actual spot will depend on what we find when we arrive on Monday.

We are hoping to meet from about 10.30 / 11 am.

If anyone is wanting to go earlier, it will be great if you can try and keep us all a spot.

We would like to be close to the Lagoon to see the Australia Day Celebrations in the afternoon.

Please bring your own chairs as we might not get a picnic table.

If anyone has a fold up table, or a gazebo, it will be really good if you could also please bring it.

We will have to share the actual BBQ's with the crowds.

We have found that it is easier to double park in front of the Night Markets to off load the picnic stuff, and then go and find a parking.
