I make a "Scotch Pudding" which I think is the same thing?!?

1 cup flour

1 cup milk

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 cup apricot jam

1 egg

1 dessert spoon vinegar

2 dessert spoons butter

Mix butter and flour well. Take half a cup of milk and add half a cup of jam and the egg. Mix these well and mix into the flour. Take the remaining half cup milk and half cup jam and mix with the bicarb and vinegar and then add to the other mixture.

Pour into a greased baking dish.

Make up the sauce of

2 cups milk

1 cup cream and

1 cup sugar (I use brown sugar)

Mix these together well and pour carefully over the batter.

Bake at 180 until brown - about 30 - 40 minutes.

I am making this tomorrow for Christmas day. It is lovely hot or cold.

Hi sonnetjie

Hier is die resep wat my ma altyd gemaak het. Baie lekker en maklik. Geniet dit!

2 koppies meel

1 koppie suiker

2 eiers

2 teelepels koeksoda in 1/4 koppie melk opgelos

2 eetlepels botter

2 eetlepels appalkooskonfyt

2 eetlepels asyn

Room botter en suiker saam, voeg geklitste eiers by, dan koeksoda en melk om die beurt met meel. Voeg konfyt by, en laaste die asyn. Bak vir ongeveer 30 min - 180 grade.

Stroop:

2 koppies vars melk

1 koppie botter

1 1/2 koppie suiker

2 teelepes vanilje

Kook alles saam. Wanneer poeding uit die oond kom, druk 'n paar gate met 'n vurk en gooi sous oor warm poeding. Dien op met vla.
