Below is a link to Cleland Conservation park in the Adelaide Hills where you can walk among many different types of native Australian animals and even have a picnic. You can hold Koala's and hand feed kangaroo's, wallabies and several other native animals and walk into the living areas of other native animals like dingoes. There are also stunning wild birds and many in a large avory. Well worth the visit if you come to Adelaide for stay or visit.

Thanks Marius,

We will definitely be visiting the park. When we were in ADL in May we went to the top of Mount Lofty and saw the panoramic view of Adelaide.Even though it was a bit hazey it was fantastic. One thing we learnt at Mount Loftys restaurant is that you have to place your order at the counter. Then when your food is ready a waiter/tress will bring it to you.

Tazz,

Heheh, that was our first lesson after being in Australia for exactly 1 night. We went for Cofee and a brekky the next morning still jetlagged and promptly sat down at a Cafe in Rundle street. And waited and waited, even thought "bloody aussies, slow with the service and the place is almost empty".Eventually the very friendly young lady came over after we waived and called her over and politely pointed out the big sign that said "Please place orders at the counter ". :ilikeit: She still took our order and we considered ourselved corrected from there onwards. She had a good chuckle with us when we left and when we returned the next morning :whome: . Most places here are arranged like this and it actually makes sense, we now know :ilikeit:

Hi Adelaidians ?

It's good to know about how the restaurant service works. But let's say you order at the counter, the waiter brings your food and halfway through your breakfast you decide you need some more orange juice! Do you get up and ask for it at the counter again or do you call a waiter to your table? :ilikeit:

The park sounds great and we will definitely visit there once we get to Adelaide!
