Numbawun
We looking to go on our last African overland adventure in December ( leaving for Aus early next year ) but we have no vehicle. We planning a 7000km excursion (Botswana - Namibia) and thought to trade in our Chrysler for a 4x4 to do the trip. Then it occured to me that there may be fellow forumites desperate to sell vehicles before they leave so may as help someone on the forum out (as opposed to my local second hand car dealership !) We are in Pretoria (would prefer Toyota) .

We are in Pretoria (would prefer Toyota) .I have an older Toyota Landcruiser (80 Series) with the following:Large Roof Top Tent on roof rack, Roof rack includes 2 gas bottle holders, 3 jerry can holders, 1 spade, 1 large side awning 80Lt Engle Freezer, Dual Spare Wheels mounted on rear of vehicle, Bull Bars with 12ton winch & tool box, Extended Fuel Tank (total 220lt Petrol), Duel battery with 800w inverter for charging batteries etcRoller Draws in rear to enable easy access (one draw comes out and can act as table/workbench. Freezer can also slide out.Old Man Emu Shocks, with new offroad tyresThe vehicle has 330,000 kms and the engine was completely rebuilt 2 years ago (at 322,000kms).I will be doing a trip in September and then will sell the vehicle only because it is too difficult and costly to take to Aussie. I have put a lot into this vehicle and will be sad to part with it.

Oh bummer, you are in South Africa. I'm dying to buy a decent diesel pickup/SUV here in the states. I don't need to tow 16,000 pounds with an F250 that gets 18/20 miles per gallon. I have 2 Jetta TDI's, and love them.
