It would be nice to keep in touch via the forum and meet up with other gold coasters when we get there hopefully towards the end of 2008 or early 2009.All the best. Queensland Girl
Hi SantieThere is a Formula 1 hotel 5 minutes from the airport. The other hotels are in Hamilton.(10-15 minutes)I know that you are going to be tired, but would it not be better to just grit your teeth and make your way to your accommodation in Southport.(1 hour from pick-up) I have done the JHB/SYD/Brisbane/GoldCoast run lots of times and I can suggest a pick up service that will be there waiting and deposit you to your door in Southport.. It will cost you slightly more than a cheap hotel room.

Madelein
Try The Broadwater Caravan Park Cabins for short-term furnished accommodation. Really a great Park, on the water's edge. This will give you some time to look for permanent accommodation and get the kiddies enrolled at school. They give discount on weekly stays.Link: http://www.gctp.com.au/parks/broadwater/ Cheers!Madelein

Nane
Santie, Nerang is inland and 30min drive from from South Port. Pacific heights is a nice area to stay for a family. How many people in your family? We live close to Brisbane airport and I have a spare room.
