OZZY_Budget.xlsWaggebietjie,Every persons budget is different, so the below and attached is a basic guide only In the North East where you want to live and I also live $ 350 is a good target and you can get a reasonable rental house in this price. On average, over and above the rent we spend about $ 250 per week on groceries and $ 150 per month on petrol. School in a public schools is about $ 500 per year and more than $ 2000 per year in private schools. The rest on average as in the attached completed sheet you attached. This is a basic indication only, as I say people have different expecations and habits which can influence how much they spend per month. You can live much cheaper that the numbers I mention if you need to.Hope this helpsMariusOZZIE_budget_reply.xls

Bob
If your gross is AUD 50 000 per year what would your monthly net income be?If you come to Australia on a Permanent visa or temporary work visa, you pay income tax at the same rate.First $6 000 is tax free. From $6 000 to $30 000 you pay 15 cents on every dollar, then for every $ over $30k you pay 30c in the $ income tax.so . . . on $50 000 income a year, you pay $0 to $6K = $0$6K to $30K = $3 600 (@ 15c income tax for each $)$30K to $50K = $6 000 (@ 30c income tax for each $) -------- $9 600 income tax on $50 000You also pay 1.5% Medicare levy = $750 (on $50K) Total tax $9 600 + 750 ---------- $10 350There are loads of income tax deductions and rebates that you can claim for, so this figure is the very most that you'd be expected to be slugged each year on an income of $50 000.Your take home pay would be $39 650 = $3 304 (R23/24 000) a month to spend.
