Hi and welcome,

There is a company here called News Limited - go to their website, see if they are recruiting and apply with a cover letter explaining you need a 457 sponsorship. If they aren't recruiting, call them up and speak to someone in HR or even better, the Development Manager.

Spend lots of time on www.seek.com.au and apply for anything that looks suited to your skills, with a cover letter again. Also, I know that SAS Institute used to offer sponsored visas a while ago, so they might also be worth a call.

Above all, be persistent and patient and don't let the rejections get to you!

You Should have no problem finding a position, try some of the recruiting companies!

Few people have had high load, huge infrastructure experience like that! Particularly for a organization as large as Naspers!

If you serious about reloacting, get your skills accredited by the Australian Computer Society. Don't sit & wait for a possibility of getting a sponsorship, start with your appliaction now.

If you wait 6 months and still not got something, at least your PR is in process, you don't wanna wait and end up starting from scratch in 6 months from now.

2 years ago a friend I worked with urged me to start my application even if I'm not that interested in going. I was quite adament that I have no intention of leaving and that I'm content with what I have here. Boy did I regret that answer. SA deteriorated at an accelerated pace in the last 6 months and things IMHO doesn't look to bright either for the next few years.

I agree with Biker.

Go to Australian Computer Society and get accredited with them. Once you have their accreditation then a sponsor will take you more seriously. But even without ACS I think you still have outstanding experience and will get in no problem.
