australian
I know this may sound like a negative question, but does anyone know what would happen in a situation where a spouse has been sponsored by their partner and the marriage breaks up after they have arrived in Australia, but before permanent residence is granted. I have heard so many people say that immigration makes a good marriage bad and destroys a bad marriage. So I was just wondering if there is anyone out there, or someone you know who has been through this.Do they send the sponsored spouse back to SA. Does it have an impact on them being granted permanent residence, and would Australia take it into consideration if there were children?? Cindylou
This was discussed in some length in the early days of the forum - not sure if I'll be able to track it down, but if I do find the thread I'll post the link. I do remember that there is a BIG difference if you are talking about PR or TR visas.C'LouOK - found the post, here's the link. Hope it answers your question!
