Hi Martin,

For permanent relocation or just LSD/visit ?

Darling harbour/Paddington is quite nice areas and close to the city, Eastern suburbs more expensive, Nothern beaches, Balmoral, cammeray, St Ives are all quite nice areas and public transport is very good.

Is there a central place to stay in Sydney Cbd? We want to be near all the nice spots, railway/busses and shops?

Thanks

Darling Harbour or The Rocks. Won't be cheap though..

AEA Bridgeport serviced apartments at Circular Quay - close to ferries, trains, buses - everything really.

Google "aeabridgeport".

When we arrived in Sydney we stayed at the North Shore Hotel. It was quite affordable, very central and good quality.

An even cheaper option is Boardriders backpackers in Manly. The accommodation is very basic but located

100m from the beach. From Manly Wharf you can take a wonderful 30 minute ferry ride to the City.
