blue Posted August 24, 2008 Report Share Posted August 24, 2008 Good day friendsAfter waiting for numerous weeks and having our doubts whether the company still wants us, things are starting to move. We have been allocated a case officer, very efficient chap from Southern Cross Alliance, we submitted all our necessary documents required for the visa and now just waiting to find out when we have to go for medicals.We have been told to hold off on selling house et. and resigning from work until we have our visas. What is anyone's comment on this? As you know the housing market is so flat? We really do not want to leave anything behind, the thought of renting is not so 'lekker'. We chatted to a financial friend and apparently a bill has now been passed that those who want to immigrate can cash in on their RA's. Hopefully in about a month's time we will be going over for a LSD trip to Sydney kindly sponsored by the company. Will update on our progress. Even if you get an offer imediatly it will take at least 6-8 weeks to get your money.
