murley Posted June 20, 2006 Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 Hi EveryoneNeed some feedback about this answer.My Agents phoned my Case Officer yesterday to enquire about my Visabecause I have to leave on 9th August in Brisbane as I am to be married on 25thAugust. The Case Officer in AHC Pretoria informed her that theiryear starts 1st July and ends 30th June and they have already met their quota system to end of June. My Visa will only be issued 1st week in July in their New Year start. Dont understand all this. Any knows what this means. Is this how they work. Anyone experienced this.I am really stressing as there are so many things to sort out before Ileave. I cannot book a flight as yet and cannot resign from work asI planned to do on 1st July (1 months notice) because I do not know what toexpect. Wascalled in for interview on 24th April 2006. Was asked to go for medicals. Medicals was sent in on24th May 2006. Was told that they have everything. Not exactly sure how many visas are issued per year (july - june), but if the quota is reached then all applicants are on hold until 1st July. This happens every June, applications are just put on hold until 1st July and then they approve in order of receipt.That's why you'll even see on British Expats site, that the "I got it" is not happening that often.
