SD_MOA
Hello All, DHA have just published the results of the 11 July invite round. They issued 1,100 invitations with the bulk being SC189 EOI's with a minimum score of 80 points (775 invites). The pro-rate occupations all dropped by at least 5 points from the June invite round. Hopefully they continue to invite more than 1,000 each month and the invite marks come come another 5 points! Drop me an email if you need further information. Choonx
We lodged our EOI on the 26th of June 2019. 80 points, accepted by the AASW as a social worker. Still haven’t heard anything about invites yet. Anybody have advice or news on this??? Many thanks.
frosty
Very few invitations are being sent at the moment for 189, there is probably bit of a backlog. What do your points look like after the changes coming in November?
Choonx
Should prob be the same. We drop 5 points in December due to age. Moving from age 32 to
TeeTMI
Hi Choonx There are new points available in November, you might look at whether your partner may be able to get 5 extra points (Competent English) or 10 points (meet the Skilled Partner criteria). Alternatively you might look to the state sponsored visa options 190 / 491 (489 have now closed to new EOIs).
frosty
As mentioned, you should see if you are able to claim additional points in November. Single applicants will be awarded additional 10 points, applicants with Skilled Partner also 10 and if your partner is not skilled you can still claim 5 points if they prove their Competent English. Down side to these changes is that that those who can’t claim any additional points will find it difficult to compete as they will fall 5-10 points behind the others who at this time are on par with them points wise.
