I am currently on a 482 visa and need to satisfy condition 8501 and maintain adequate health cover. I also applied for a 190 visa (visa application submitted after being invited and approved by NSW, awaiting outcome) and therefore am able to enroll for Medicare. I have received my Medicare Lifetime Health Cover confirmation today and looking to change my personal health insurance to cover some extras like dental check ups etc.
If I cancel my visitors health cover now - used to satisfy the 8501 condition - will I be in breach of this condition or will the fact that I am not enrolled with Medicare still satisfy the 8501 condition?

I came across this blog post, but just want to get the forum's thoughts on this? http://bridgeaus.com.au/health-insurance-for-temporary-visa-holders/
