TeeTMI Posted January 3, 2019 Report Share Posted January 3, 2019 The Northern Territory Designated Area Migration Agreement(DAMA II) came into effect on the 1st January 2019. (Note: this stream of visas falls within the Employer Nominated 482/TSS Visas) There have been a number of changes in the occupation list with 36 occupations added and 29 removed. Unlike the first DAMA agreement, NT DAMA II visa holders will be able to apply for permanent residency after working in the Territory for at least three years. The DAMA agreement is aimed at assisting Australian Employers seek overseas applicants. Under the DAMA II agreement, employers must first seek to hire Australian workers through conducting labour market testing before any overseas workers can be recruited.
