TeeTMI Posted November 28, 2018 Report Share Posted November 28, 2018 Yesterday the 'Migration Amendment (Family Violence and Other Measures) Bill 2016' was passed by both Houses of government and is currently awaiting Royal Assent. Once that has been obtained this new Bill will come into legislation either on an agreed date or in 6 months (whichever occurs first). Once in force the government has stated that they expect to make changes to the Partner visa process in that unlike at the current time the Sponsor must be approved before a Visa Application can be made.
