I know most of these visa's now cannot be converted to PR Occupations that are on the MLTSSL of the new 482/TSS visa do have the potential to follow the Transitional Stream pathway (occupations on the STSSL do not, and can only be renewed once whilst in Australia). However, I would always advise that if a person is eligible to apply for PR at any point during their time on a temporary visa that they consider doing so.
