In South Africa a person qualifies as a counsellor with an honours degree in psychology and a board exam specifically relating to counselling. This differs from a psychologist who is expected to have a masters degree in psychology. Does anyone know if a counselling qualification would be recognised in Australia and give me a chance at immigration?
