489 Visa Granted

Hi Everyone,

 

I’m thrilled to report that we got our Visa Grant on Friday!  (489 TAS)

 

I woke up that day, rushed to my computer (05h30!) and logged on to our Immi Account.

I screamed when I saw our status change from ‘Received’ to ‘Finalized’!!! 

At first I got into a panic, because I suddenly got worried that maybe the application was finalized and ‘declined’ ……..but all members of the family had ‘granted’ next to their names! 

We jumped, cried and our kids started sining ‘Waltzing Matilda’!!  

 

I’m totally shocked and cannot comprehend what’s happening.

 

I must say I was devastated when I read about the wait extended to 9-12 months some time ago, we got ours in just over 3!!! 

 

I’m hoping that my post will give hope to all who are still in the ‘waiting room’. 

 

We are off to activate our visa in November,  no other time available.

We are planing to make the move only next year in November due to work.

 

Can someone kindly recommend B&B accommodation in Cairns and Sydney please?

(Or maybe the area where I should look for accommodation)

 

We’ve decided to have a short holiday to celebrate before visiting our new home: Hobart.

Hey, Congratulations! We live in Aus and you won’t regret the move 😊 May I ask from when to when was the three month wait? From time of invite, time you submitted your docs? My friends are currently waiting for a 489 approval.

We've lodged our application on the 6th of June and we got the grant on the 21st of September.
