Ta2Bryan
Hi all. We're having a bit of difficulty finding an insurer to offer us travel insurance due to the one way flight and immigration. We purchased our tickets using a Discovery credit card and only read the fine print after about no complementary cover on one way tickets. Who did you use? FromDurbs
I would not bother. What do you want travel insurance to cover? Cancelled flight/cant fly due to illness (too late for that now anyway), luggage (take the chance you dont loose a bag - keep valuables on your person), health care (you can buy a health insurance policy (not travel insurance) that activates the moment you arrive, plus if you have PR you are covered by Medicare in case of disaster)). Don't you first have to register or are you automatically covered on arrival if on PR?
iambrettstar
I got travel insurance via STA Travel, through Allianz, for what it's worth.
