Student Visa process

Hi all, looking for some pointers. My niece is finishing school this year, and keen to come over to Brisbane study. Has anyone here come across to study at QU, or similar. Would appreciate getting some costings and the overall process to go on the student visa route. Can PM if you prefer. As I understand, she would need to get an application to the uni, and once approved, then apply for the visa (wondering how long it would take etc)...Thanks in advance - have a great weekend

@ClintC not sure if you mean your neice wants to study at UQ or at QUT? My 3 kids have all studied at these two. One had PR and two were already Citizens, and they had to apply throught QTAC.

 

I’m very unsure of the process for non-residents and I assume it would be extremely expensive, but maybe this link will point you in the right direction?

 

Otherwise ring the universities and ask for advice.

By the way, indicative fees should be on the uni websites. Non-residents pay much more than those with PR, and also don’t qualify for student loans.
