ORC Posted June 4, 2018 Report Share Posted June 4, 2018 Hoping someone can help with this. I'm a SA Citizen but have PR in Australia and have been living here a few years now. I need to travel to the US for a week and have the letter from my company, do I apply as normal on the US visa website or do I need to do something special since I only have a South African passport? ottg Posted June 4, 2018 Report Share Posted June 4, 2018 You need to apply for a USA Visa and use your RSA passport to travel. Ensure that the RSA passport is not near the expiry date as things do take time. In my case, back in 2007, I have had an interview with the USA migration department before a visa was granted. The standard questions were: what do you intend to do there, what proof do you have, where will you stay and when do you return.
