Tntaglia
Since our thread on EOIs managed to get pretty much everyone from EOI to visa invite stage, I thought we can move on to a list of everyone still waiting for visa approval. Here are the people I know of from that thread, but anyone else waiting for approval, feel free to add your names to the list Name Visa Visa invite Visa lodged CO contact CO request Days to CO contact Grant Tntaglia 190 NSW 17/01 19/1/18 @renebo 190 VIC 28/11 4/12/17 @Anusha 489 22/11 2/1/18 @Ta2Bryan 189/190 8/11 21/12 @laurie26 190 13/11 4/1/18 @March2 190 TAS 24/01 30/1/18
Ta2Bryan
We only applied for the 189 even though we also received an invite for 190. And since then?No news, nada, niks! How is it that just over 50 days feels like 5000 days? Back to the waiting corner...

Anusha
Feels like these last 6 weeks, our life is in limbo... but we hang in another day, check my email over 10 times a day & wait !!!!! Just checking in on a few things, have you guys started to sell stuff that you not taking over or waiting for the grant to commence that exercise? If you have any life policies ( dread dis, death, disability) etc, are we still covered when living in another country? I will have to give Old Mutual a call today! Can cellphone contracts be cancelled if so what is the procedure?

Being government they will not work after 4pm (at the latest 5pm), which means you shouldn't even bother checking your mail after 9am.
JayAySon
Hi guys - My first post on the Forum. I received my Visa invite on 12th Feb 2018, and I lodged my Visa application today, on 14th Feb 2018. My wife and I will be going to NSW, on a 190 Visa. We need to do our medicals on 19th Feb, and will upload our results when we receive the results. Like the rest of you, we will then patiently wait... So hopefully we should see action for @renebo and @Ta2Bryan pretty soon... I added my 457 visa process to the table too. The agents lodged 30 November, but at the time the sponsorship and nomination was still being processed. The agents originally wanted to wait to lodge until my new employer had been approved as a sponsor but since I received advice from other sources that the two processed could be run concurrently they agreed to lodge my visa at the same time. We had to try quite a bit to get priority processing approved, I still don't have official confirmation that it was approved but at least there have been further requests from the Dept of Immigration that seems to be related to the nomination process. They've asked for info on the company's financials, proof of how my position fits into the rest of the organisation and how they found me for the position, and some really arbitrary things like a picture of my workstation. So there is movement but I have no idea if this means it's gonna be soon or not.

AdriaanSanta
And there they go again. 5 to 8 months has now magically changed into 9 to 12 months. This is getting so overrated.

This is getting so overrated. I'm thinking that you haven't realised that their estimated number of months is based on the total number of applicants in that class as at the time of publication not at the time of your application. ie all the people behind you in the queue. It doesn't necessarily mean that your application will now take up to 12 months. Just the new people at the back of the queue. It's a bit like lining up to vote RSA style. If you got there early, the wait was ½-1½ hours. As the queue grows, the people now joining the queue are told that their wait is 3-5 hours. That doesn't mean that your wait is longer too. Only for the people now joining the queue. In fact your spot in the queue has moved forward and you are now only 5-10 minutes away. The wait time is updated to cover the newest people in the queue only. Everybody else still has their spot.

These figures are actually based on the time the applications that are being processed at the current time have taken. So in this case as at the figures relate to cases up to 31 January 2018 - and that 75% of the applications had been processed within 9 months and 90% within 12 months. It is a very variable figure and does fluctuate over time for a whole variety of reasons, and given it is an 'up to' figure there can be quite a bit of fluctuation in individual times. The aim is to provide some idea of a potential time line.
