A total of 600 invitations were issued this round to people who had submitted and Expression of Interest. To be invited 189 visa applicants from most occupations required at least 70 points (deeming date 13/09/2017). (SC489 Independent required 80 points). Following the update of the skilled occupations lists two new occupations were added to the occupations list this round. If you are not at the level required and can obtain more points you might look at ways of doing this. The Points score required for ProRata occupations are below in the attached table. Note no invites appear to have been issued again to Accountants in this round. The DHA have stated: that the invitations for ProRata occupations will also reflect volumes in other skilled visa categories. Therefore, this appears to suggest that we may see some adjustment in the number of invites made to ProRata occupations to ensure that other occupations are better represented within the invitations made.
